Let’s study the case of Portugal fire which was set on 17th June 2017 around 5 p.m. It was immensely deadly which covered around 145 sq. km of land and 189 vehicles and around 600 firefighters were brought after the eruption !

What is the Science behind Forest Fires ?
Forest fires result from complex interactions among ignition sources, fuel (vegetation), and weather conditions. Ignition can be natural (lightning) or human-caused. Dry and hot weather increases fuel flammability. When fuels accumulate and humidity drops, a spark can initiate rapid combustion. This causes Forest Fire.
